Save the Girl Child, Hissar

The project educates currently married women and their families in poor communities on importance of girl child, gender equality and hazards of unsafe abortions through community-based integrating advocacy, awareness generation, services facilitation and operations research. The project strives to arrest the problem of female feticide and infanticide.


Asha Deep Foundation, New Delhi

Aiming to achieve quality Education for the Socially Excluded Children, Childreach International India partners with Asha Deep Foundation to protect the rights of children by building learning process among 3-14 years focusing on strengthening existing structures of Anganwadis, increasing accessibility of quality education for non school going as well as school going children, creating mass awareness on Right to Education through formation of School Management Committees and building the capacities of community, parents and children.

The project ensures academic and curricular learning, shelter, nutrition and food, for children living on streets or working in different occupations in the tourist city of north-east India. The project also educates children, local communities and employers of children on child rights and existing provisions for children.

Chinmaya Organisation for Rural Development (CORD), Dharamshala

This is an innovative rural community-based intervention programme that empowers girls from 10 to 18 years on women rights, legal and preventive measures against discrimination of girl child, child marriage, domestic violence and practice of female feticide, preventive health care, hygiene and sanitation through 46 girls’ samoohs or groups. Selected girls are trained to facilitate and strengthen formation and meetings of these groups. It also sensitizes and educates village panchayats on rights and issues faced by women.

New Opportunities for Women (NOW), Delhi

Children of government schools from urban poor communities are provided remedial education by mentors who are adolescents with good academic performance and teaching abilities from within the community. Non-literate women in the community are provided functional literacy. The project also works on awareness and advocacy on ‘Right to Education’ with community and government schools.

Society for All Round Development (SARD), Delhi

Childreach International India works in a tri-party agreement with SARD and the government of Delhi to provide underachieving children of MCD schools with additional education after their classes. The project makes learning interesting in a child-friendly environment through customized and creative teaching learning methods.

Shaishav, Bhavnagar, Gujarat

The project empowers children from urban slums with platform and tools to discuss, decide and take action on all issues that are a hindrance to their rights or disturb development in their communities.

Children of different age groups are organized in Bal Senas, Tarun Senas and Kishori Mandals, which are strong and democratic groups that elect their leaders and listen to them.


CHERISH, Hyderabad

Childreach International India has partnered with CHERISH to provide children in labour, on streets, at the risk of being a victim of sexual exploitation and children from broken families with a living that ensures that they have a childhood which is as normal as other children living with families. These children are counseled, ensured food and nutrition and provided regular health check-ups, education through non-formal classes and are admitted to formal schools.


Nav Srishti, New Delhi

Our project with Nav Srishti ensures mobilizing collective action through generating awareness on Right to Education, Right to Information, Increased access to health services, Quality education, child protection laws, and eliminating child labour incommunities through intensive group discussions. The project also advocates mainstreaming of non school going children into formal schools.


Society for Action with Rural Poor (SARP), Andhra Pradesh

Childreach International India and SARP collectively works towards improving the access to quality education, right to protection and participation for school children spread over 25 villages in Nalgonda through sensitization and motivational workshops and community awareness programmes for adults, children and concerned government authorities, thus strengthening Community based Education Monitoring System.
