Childreach International India conducts an annual celebration of Children's Week.
This celebration is also aimed at spreading awareness of the concept of Individual Social Responsibility, where individuals take responsibility towards creating a world where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential in life. It all begins on the 14th of November - Childrens Day in India and continues through to the 20th November – International Childrens Day.
Last year the week began with children’s day being celebrated by all our project partners across India and culminated in a Celebrity bash in Mumbai on the eve of International Children’s day.
Unlocking Potential 2010
Childreach International India celebrated the 'Children's Week' from 14 November (Children's day as celebrated in India) to 20 November- International Children's Day. 14th witnessed the joyful celebrations across India in the different projects, where the children and teachers reaffirmed their joy in education and in being empowered.
The entire week between till the 19th corporates, individuals and students volunteered with different projects of Childreach International India across India showcasing Individual Social Responsibility.
On 19 November on the eve of Universal Children’s Day a host of Bollywood stars, TV personalities converged along with the corporate giants, celebrity artists and media at a glittering event hosted by Childreach International India in Mumbai. The Childreach International India project partners were appreciated by celebrities like Rahul Khanna, Pooja Bedi, Tanuja, Eesha Koppikar among many others and corporate sponsors, who presented the first annual grant on behalf of Childreach International India to the project partners.
Children of the celebrities performed to showcase their solidarity to the Childreach International India's cause of children in India while the celebrities pledged their support on the Cause.
Ace photographer Martin Pirhoda, who has worked with Vogue magazine, exhibited photographs taken during visits to Childreach International projects in India. This photo exhibition allowed friends and guests of Childreach International to see for themselves the projects we support and the opportunity they provide to enable hundreds of children to reach their full potential in life.
Our CEO from the UK Firoz Patel gave a speech in between the gala dinner and exciting performances from fire dancers. Childreach International India appreciated the kind support from its corporate sponsors:

Childreach International India also marked the week by announcing partnerships with celebrities such as choreographer Sandip Soparrkar and his model wife Jesse Randhawa, who have pledged to create awareness about issues concerning children in India along with Childreach International.
